Brief Note on Remotion
“Now, because we cannot know what God is, but rather what He is not, we have no means for considering how God is, but rather how He is not. Now it can be shown how God is not, by denying Him whatever is opposed to the idea of Him.” (Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologiae 1, q.3, intro.)
The idea “we cannot know God” is contradicted by Scripture:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Matt 7:7-8

The miracle of life, the order of nature, consciousness itself, natural reason all point toward the existence of GOD. Thus providing a rational foundation to the claim: "Only GOD is Absolute." Further, since human understanding of GOD and of nature is not absolute, neither is dogma nor worldview. Nevertheless, tradition and practical reason prove indispensable guides. Thus: "If a proposition be true, all the facts harmonize with it." (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics, 1.8.1). Similarly, the closer one's actions accord with agape, the greater one's collaboration with Christ and the Spirit.
